Roast wild boar with two kinds of dumplings, chanterelles, red cabbage, pear and cranberry jam and roast pork with potato dumplings and salad - both dishes were superbly prepared and tasted exceptionally delicious! In addition the great view from the covered terrace of the surrounding mountains - Steinwald, Fichtelgebirge - wonderful stop! Then walk to the pilgrimage site nearby ... perfect! There is also a playground nearby with a table and benches to relax in.

Promising inn. Fast and friendly service. The quality of the food is average. Typical side salad, great dumplings, meat pleasantly seared, sauce a bit too simple.

Delicious Upper Palatinate lunch table, nice selection

We were on the motorcycle and stopped at the Mesnerhaus. When the weather is good, the inn offers a fantastic view far into the country. The landlords are very hospitable, and the landlady is also a gifted cook. Blueberry pancakes with ice cream and cream, simply tasty. We also bought take-away products. With pleasure we come back to stop.

Were eating today. The two soups, i.e. liver dumpling soup and pumpkin soup, were really great. The subsequent Sauerbraten then topped everything. Sauerbraten is not Sauerbraten! I normally never give 5 stars from the start, but value for money is always worth 5 stars. If you are still enthusiastic seven hours after lunch, then you should also let others know what I would like to do!

We were there on 3 Oct. 2019 (holiday!) To lunch there. The host room was about 70% occupied. We had waited a long time to place our order. The service passed us several times during this time and completely ignored us. After 20 minutes we gave up and looked for another place.

The Sauerbraten and the Schwarzbeerdotsch today were delicious. Sorry that I was a bit confused when paying. " We'll be back

Nice little restaurant! The Sauerbraten was a poem, the other dishes looked very delicious. Unfortunately, the view through fog was not to enjoy but must be fantastic. Especially in summer. We will definitely be back!

The hike to the Armesberg was worth it !!! Very good food with a view far beyond the stone forest that is second to none! We would love to come back.
